Czech blue poppy z.s. (originally “Český mák, association of legal and natural persons” and “Český mák association”) is a national interest association of legal and natural persons growing, processing and trading in edible poppy seeds (Papaver somniferum L.).
The association is based at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague.

“All members of the association Český blue poppy z.s. will actively participate in limiting the import of technical poppy into the Czech Republic, especially by not importing technical poppy into the Czech Republic themselves. The import of technical poppy goes against the interests of the association. If a member of the association were to import technical poppies into the Czech Republic, he should cease his activity in the association. If he does not do so himself, he will be expelled from the guild.”
